Serial Number: 2331438 - Indicates manufacture from May 1943 - Oct 1943

-Receiver: Substantial pitting under wood line, indicates moisture in the wood at some point.

-Barrel: Rifling is strong but still worn. Headspace is unsafe. Will not test fire. May be able to make safe by welding the bolt lugs, however replacing the barrel is recommended.

-Trigger Housing: Very pitted under wood line.

-Stock: Wood doesn't match and is very beat-up. Has "P" cartouche, so at least its a military stock. Other cartouches are missing. Front handguard rattles. Poor fit.

-Matching finish on metal parts.

-Preliminary inspection shows mostly matching WRA parts. The safety and hammer however are Springfield parts. A more thorough inspection may indicate more mismatched parts.

-The sling that is present is from WW1, dated 1918. Extremely worn and the rivets that were replaced were done very poorly and messy.
